As we all Know, if a Film gets Tax Exemption 30% of the revenue generated by the film should need not be paid to the Government as Tax. And the criteria which is followed by all recent films to get Tax exemption is that it should get a Tamil Title and it should get Clean U Certificate.
Puli Film too has both these factors but it didn’t got Tax exemption, the reason’s depicted is that
The panel appointed by the Tamil Nadu Government has rejected the eligibility for Tax exemption for the film, citing that the film has so many violent scenes and depictions of children and women being killed. Some members have objected to the romance scenes in the film as being obscene with excessive glamour, the others have said that the film is completely devoid of glamour and obscenity have objected only to the depiction of violence.
